FAQ Answers to frequently asked questions on PlanningPME and PlanningPME Web Access.   -> Questions on the software PlanningPME I. CURRENT USE 1. Can several users modify the planning at any one time? Yes. PlanningPME is networkable. Changes done by your colleagues will appear on real time on your schedule board so that you avoid booking mistakes. 2. Is the number of resources limited in the software PlanningPME? No. You can have as many human and material resources as you want. As well, the number of clients and tasks is not limited. The only limitation will come from the database you are running the program on: our consultants will provide you the best advises on the installation in regard of your needs. 3. Is it possible to set up different levels of access? Yes. You can give a specific access to the schedule to each user and define their permissions: view only on certain departments, write on others so that the data are protected and can not be seen or modified by anyone. Moreover, the software allows you to lock some tasks and to know who created a task or modified it. 4. I lost all my data. I do not see my tasks on the planning board.. We invite you to check the filters are not activated (skills filter, tasks filter, projects filter…). 5. Can I create several planning with one licence? Yes. You can create several individual planning. 6. How to delete the licence from one workstation to another? From the menu 'File" then "delete the licence", you can remove the licence from this computer to install it on another. II. TRIAL VERSION 1. How many days do I have to try PlanningPME? You are not limited in days. You can open and close the program PlanningPME 30 times. 2. My trial has expired. Can you extend it? Yes. Yes. Just contact us and we will extend your trial once. 3. Will I lose my data once I upgrade my trial to the commercialized version? No. No. All the information will be saved. III. SOFTWARE PURCHASE 1. How many licences do I need to purchase? You need to buy one licence per user. For employees who just need to visualize the schedule, you can purchase the add-on PlanningPMEHTML (it allows you to have access to the schedule via HTML pages) For example, you need to schedule 50 employees. 5 employees will make changes from the software interface and the others will view only and /or make changes over the Web interface. So, you will need to buy 5 Licences of Syleo (490€ + 4*190€) and the Add-on PlanningPMEHTML (790€). Total: 1660€ 2. Is it a one-time fee or an annual fee? No. The purchase of Licences and the Add-on Web Access is a one-time fee. Only the support contract is annual and can be cancelled at any time. 3. How do I purchase PlanningPME? Have a look at this page: Bestellen IV. TECHNICAL QUESTIONS 1. IPlanningPME compatible with Windows Vista? What are the Operating Systems PlanningPME can run on? Yes. PlanningPME is compatible with the following Windows Operating systems: Windows Vistas, XP, 2000, 98 2. What are the databasesupported? PlanningPME can run on MS Access, My-SQL, SQL-Server and Oracle. By default, PlanningPME uses a MS Access database. 3. In which language iPlanningPME written in? PlanningPME is written in C++ and Visual Basic. 4. I neda lot of licences. Should I run PlanningPME on a database other than MS Access? We invite you to use a database other than MS Access which have storage capacities limitations. Our consultants are at your disposal. 5. I have some data on clients, resources and/or tasks stored on another application: Is it possible to import them? Certainly. If your data are or can be extracted on a standard format such as .txt, .xls or if they are stored on one of the database cited above, it will be possible to import your data. Our technicians can provide you this service if needed. 6. How are my data saved? Is there an automatic back-up? You do not need to press any “Save” button to save your work. All tasks and data created are saved automatically on the schedule. Then, if you run the application on MS Access, on the menu File -> Location, you can activate the back up option: A copy of the database will be done each time you close the program. On other databases, back up are currently done by your IT technicians on the server. 7. Can I have a customized version of PlanningPME? Yes, it can be possible to answer your request. CURRENT USE 1. 6. Can I access my schedule over the Web? Yes. The application PlanningPME Web Access allows you to have your schedule on real time over the web. Via a secured access, you will be able to connect to your schedule with specific reading and/on writing rights 2. 2. Can multiple usermodify the same schedule over the Internet? Yes. Several users can be conneted at any one time on the schedule via Internet. Changes done by your colleagues will appear on real time on your schedule board so that you avoid booking mistakes. 3. Am I limited in the number of resources in PlanningPME Web Access? Yes. In the application PlanningPME Web Access, the number of resources is limited to the range of resources subscribed or purchased. 4. Is it possible to set up different levels of access? Yes. You can give a specific access to the schedule to each user and define their permissions: view only on certain departments, write on others so that the data are protected and can not be seen or modified by anyone. 5. Does PlanningPME Web Access have the same functions as the software PlanningPME? No. PlanningPME Web Access has less functions. Example: you need to schedule 25 trainers and 10 training rooms: Total of 35 resources. The trainers need to make changes over the Web interface. Moreover, you do not have a Web server to host the database and/or you prefer Target Skills to host the planning on their own server. You will need a subscription to PlanningPME Web Access for a range of 30-39 resources. This subscription costs 99€/month; 594€ every 6 months. The starting installation fees cost 99€. 1.2 Kaufversion: Prices are elaborated in function of the number of human and material resources managed on the planning board. The purchase version of PlanningPME Web Access is often combined with licences of PlanningPME for an optimal use. Example: you need to schedule 25 trainers and 10 training rooms: Total of 35 resources. The trainers need to make changes over the Web interface. Moreover, you have a Web server to host the database and 3 people will be in charge of the planning: They will fill in the information from their PC using the software version that is more ergonomic. On a purchase mode, on which server can I install PlanningPME Web Access? PlanningPME Web Access must be installed on a Microsoft server with the windows component IIS.
